The Vet Passport Cover
Project Story
Our client was approached with a request for a vet passport cover that could handle anything – water, dirt, grime, you name it! It’s not a crazy idea, considering we often take our furry friends to the vet or travel with them, and their documents need to be safe. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a cover that protects them from drool, dirt, and getting crumpled, and also easily attaches to a carrier or even hangs around the pet’s (or even the owner’s!) neck?
Honestly, a cover like this wouldn’t hurt for a human passport either! 😉

Design
Surprisingly, vet passports aren’t all the same size. We looked at many different ones, and they can vary by an inch or more!
We also tested other covers, noting their strengths and weaknesses. Once we had the optimal size, we worked on the zipper lock, overall design, and loop. We created over 10 different design concepts.

The Result
A zipper closure, the perfect size, and a place to hang it = the ultimate passport cover!
When you’re traveling with multiple suitcases, kids, and pets, there’s simply no room for a separate bag to carry everything. For example, if I’m taking my cat to the vet, I’m holding the carrier in both hands!
Having the passport on a silicone cord is a lifesaver in situations like that.

The passport cover is patented. It’s currently available in four colors: beige, black, mango, and purple!
