Wireless Footswitch RODINA

We’ve developed several design options in various styles. We presented them to our target audience and musicians, and they all liked the options. We’re now working on refining those designs.

Design

We’ve teamed up with our client and incredibly talented musician Ilya Shapovalov to create a wireless guitar footswitch. While there are very few options currently available on the market, this is a highly useful tool according to a professional musician.

Project story

We initially created and even sold the first version of the device, an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). While it doesn’t feature RGB backlighting for each button (allowing for color customization), it successfully fulfills its primary function of sending MIDI signals via Bluetooth. Additionally, it doubles as a 30,000 mAh power bank.

Process

Only after launching the MVP did we begin working on the design and refining the engineering aspects. We decided to move away from the idea of creating a super compact device and instead focused on making something truly awesome for musicians. That’s why we included such a large battery capacity, the phone charging feature, and a larger size for easier foot placement on the buttons.
To top it all off, we added IP67 protection so that spilled beer won’t ruin the device, and we included the ability to change the button backlight colors.

This particular device needs to have its production version finalized and manufacturing ramped up, as it’s the first in our line of RODINA music accessories.
