Bulk Dispenser - Sugar Bowl
The task was to create a device that allows users to independently dispense sugar into their cup, with the amount not exceeding the limits set by the business model. The challenge was to ensure a tactile experience during the process, rather than simply dispensing sugar at the push of a button.

To solve the problem, we studied similar solutions and adopted the principle of dispensing with a rotating rotor.
The creative challenge was in how to limit the amount of sugar being dispensed. We decided not to use the approach of braking the shaft, as the force that a person can exert in pursuit of sweetness can be quite strong...
Instead, when the maximum allowable amount is dispensed, the transmission of rotation from the handle to the mechanism is disengaged. The force no longer matters, as the handle continues to rotate freely after the limit is reached.
For prototyping, we used FDM printing.
